City Reminds Public About Paid Parking in Downtown Stillwater

The City of Stillwater is reminding the community and visitors that paid parking is required in designated downtown lots and parking ramps.

A recent upgrade to the City’s parking enforcement software has improved efficiency for both staff and users. With this update, staff have observed an increase in citations for failure to pay for parking, which has led to questions from downtown users

To avoid a ticket, drivers must:

  • Pay for parking in designated paid lots and ramps
  • Follow posted time limits and signage
  • Ensure payment is active for the duration of their stay

Free parking options are also available throughout downtown, including on-street spaces and other designated areas. Drivers are encouraged to review signage and choose the option that best fits their needs.

Business permits are available for eligible downtown employees. Businesses are encouraged to share this information with their staff to help prevent violations.

The City will continue to share information to ensure that parking requirements and options are clearly understood.
