Reusable Bottles Make a Difference

How often do you grab a pre-filled water bottle as you leave the house?

Save money, reduce trash, and preserve the Earth's resources by refilling a reusable beverage container.

In reality, most of us need to buy water or carry a refillable bottle. We drink water in our cars, at the office, at school and sporting events, as well as other locations.  It is widespread knowledge that convenience comes with a price, but are you aware that consumers are paying between 240 and 10,000 times more for the convenience of bottled water?  In one year, a person drinking 3 bottles a day would spend $262.80, if they bought the bottles in cases and avoided purchasing any bottles outside those bottles.

Tips for Reusable Bottle Safety

  1. Wash bottles in warm, soapy water. Dry thoroughly between uses.
  2. Avoid hot cars. Heat can potentially release toxins from the plastic.
  3. Do not place polycarbonate bottles, such as Nalgene or Lexan, in the dishwasher. Look for BPA-free bottles.
